Malumunuz ülkemizde son dönemde hayvanlara karşı işlenen suçlar hepimizi derinden üzmüş ve bir o kadar da öfkelendirmişti. İnsanlıkla bağdaşmayacak derecede alçakça yapılan şiddet eylemlerine maruz kalan yavrucakların ve düşüncesiz insanların ihmallerinin bedellerini ağır ödeyen zavallı canların içler acısı hâlleri duyarlı hayvanseverler tarafından büyük tepkiler çekmişti.
Kamuoyunda çığ gibi büyüyen tepkiler biraz olsun karşılık bulmuş olacak ki, devletimiz tarafından da umut vadeden açıklamalar gelmeye başladı.

Artık Petshoplarda Kedi ve Köpek Satılmayacak
Bununla beraber canımızı sıkan diğer bir konu olan hayvanların artık petshoplarda ticari bir mal gibi alınıp satılmasını da engelleyeceklerini söyleyen Bakan Pakdemirli şu ifadeleri kullandı:
“Çok konuşulan bir yasa tasarısı var. Bununla ilgili biz çok uzun çalışma yaptık. Ana çerçeve olarak Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı, İçişleri Bakanlığı ve Adalet Bakanlığı olarak bir anlaşmaya vardık. Hayvanlara yönelik şiddet ve kasten öldürme fillerini, kabahat kapsamından çıkarıp suç haline gelmesini kararlaştırdık. Bu yasanın en kısa zamanda çıkacağını ve kamuoyu vicdanının biraz daha rahatlayacağını umuyorum. Petshoplarda bundan böyle kedi ve köpek satılmayacak. Kötü ortamlarda, camekanların arkasında hayvanların sergilenmesini biz doğru bulmuyoruz. Bunlar ya kataloglardan ya da internet ortamından, olabildiğince de sahiplendirerek olması gerektiğine inanıyoruz. Sahipli hayvanları sokağa terk edenlere de yaptırım uygulamayı planlıyoruz.”

Geçtiğimiz günlerde, Tarım ve Orman Bakanı Bekir Pakdemirli tarafından hayvanseverler olarak bizleri sevindirecek açıklamalar yapıldı. Buna göre yeni çıkacak olan bir yasayla hayvana karşı işlenen şiddet eylemleri suç kapsamına girecek ve petshoplarda hayvan satılması yasaklanacak.
Tarım ve Orman Bakanı Bekir Pakdemirli, hayvanlara yönelik şiddetin suç haline gelmesini kararlaştırdıklarını belirterek, “Sahipli hayvanları sokağa terk edenlere de yaptırım uygulamayı planlıyoruz.” dedi.
Ne yazık ki ülkemizde hayvanlara karşı yapılan istismar ve şiddet eylemleri “Kabahatler Kanunu” hükümleri gereğince değerlendirilmeye alınıyor. Sevimli dostlarımızın canlarını yakan şahısların, bu kanunlar gereği vicdanımızı rahatlatacak kadar cezalara çarptırılmadığını görüyoruz. Bu konu hakkında, başta sosyal medyada olmak üzere duyarlı hayvanseverler tarafından gösterilen tepkiler de devlet kanadını harekete geçirmeye başladı. Bakan Pakdemirli, yeni çıkacak olan yasayla hayvanlara yönelik şiddetin kabahat kapsamından çıkarılıp suç hâline geleceğinin müjdesini verdi. Söz konusu yeni yasanın da hayvanseverlerin vicdanını rahatlatacağını dile getirdi.
Bakan Pakdemirli, Avrupa ülkelerinde sahiplendirilemeyen hayvanların uyutulması işlemini eleştirerek, “Ben de bir köpek sahibiyim. Belki 30’lu yaşlarda köpek sahibi olduğum için bu işin ne kadar güzel olduğunu anlamamıştım. Köpekler ve dolayısıyla tüm hayvanlar duyguları olan varlıklar. Bu duygu sahibi canlılara da insan gibi davranmamız gerekiyor. Avrupa’da medeni dediğimiz ülkeler, hayvanları alıyorlar, 1 ay içerisinde sahiplendirilmezse uyutuyorlar. Bizim asla ve katta böyle bir şeye gönlümüz razı gelmez. Biz, bir şekilde buradaki iyi şartlarda hayvanlarımızı alıp kısırlaştırıp, aşılarını yapıp doğal ortamlarına bırakmanın yollarını arıyoruz.” dedi.
