8 yıl öncesine kadar karton bir kutu içerisine bırakılmış yavru kedileri sahiplenen Murat Amcamız ve Hatice Teyzemiz, “Tekir”, “Kaşmir” ve “Sütbeyaz” isimlerini verdikleri yavru kedileri özenle büyüttü ve bağrına bastı.
Bu süre zarfında kapılarının önüne gelen kedilere de “kedilerimizin arkadaşları” dedi ve onları, Anadolu insanına yakışır bir şekilde ayırmadı çocuklarından. Artık onlar da birer evlatları olmuştu ve günün belirli saatlerinde 30’a yakın diğer evlatlarını da düzenli olarak beslemeye başlamışlardı.
İlk başlarda 10 civarındaydı, sonra 30 kadar oldular
Hayvanları çok sevdikleri için yavru kedileri evlerine almış memur emeklisi tontiş Murat Amca ve eşi. “Yavru kediler annesiz ve çok küçük oldukları için eşimle şırınga ve biberonla ağızlarına süt akıttık. Böylelikle bu yavruları beslemeye başladık. Bu yavrular da bizden ayrılmadılar ve bizim evimizin kedileri oldular. Bu arada sokak kedilerine de bakıyoruz. Onlara da evimizin önünde yiyecek ve su veriyoruz. Bunlar ilk başlarda 10 civarındaydı, sonra 30 kadar oldular.” diye de eklemişler.

Ayrıca Murat Amcamız ve Hatice Teyzemiz sokaktaki kedilerin soğuk havalarda üşümemesi için evlerinin önüne birkaç barınak da yapmışlar. Sözlerini kapatırken de herkesin kapılarının önüne birer kap yemek ve su koyması hâlinde şehirde aç ve susuz hayvan kalmayacağını belirtmişler.
