Olay Van’da, Sıhke Gölü’nde geçiyor. Başına ne geleceğinden habersiz bu garip dostumuz, yiyecek arama umuduyla göl üzerinde dolaşırken yüzeydeki buz kırılıyor. Bir anda soğuk suya düşen yavru köpek, kendi çabasıyla tekrar buzun üstüne çıkıyor fakat bu sefer de küçük bir alanda mahsur kalıyor. Bu çaresiz yavruyu farkeden vatandaşlar Van Büyükşehir Belediyesi Sağlık İşleri Dairesi Başkanlığı’na bağlı Hayvan Bakım ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezi’ne haber veriyor. Bunun üzerine derhal olay yerine gelen veteriner hekimler kıyıdan 150 metre ilerde bulunan köpeğe müdahale edemeyince polisi arıyorlar.

Kıyıda hazır bekleyen ekipler de derhal hayvan ambulansıyla Hayvan Bakım ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezi’ne götürerek tedavi altına alıyor. İki gün burada yoğun bakımda kalan köpek sonunda sağlığına kavuşuyor. Bu mutlu haberi alan Polis Burak Ökten, ziyaretine gittiği sevimli yavruyu sahipleniyor.
